Dental Implant Cost

If you are missing teeth, Dr. Edward Narcisi may recommend dental implant surgery.

Dental implants are one of the most effective procedures in dentistry, but many patients are concerned about the price of treatment.

Learn about dental implant costs, and how financing options can make it affordable, at the Center for Dental Excellence in Monroeville, PA.

What Affects the Cost of Dental Implants?

Each patient is unique, and as a result, the cost of dental implant treatments can vary significantly. Many factors affect the out-of-pocket cost of your dental implant procedure, but think of any added costs as an investment in your health, smile, and quality of life. Some factors that affect pricing include:

Type of Implant Procedure

The cost of procedures like standard dental implants, All-on-4® implants, and mini dental implants are all different. Along with a trusted oral surgeon, Dr. Narcisi will determine which technique is best for your personalized smile goals, oral health needs, and budget.

Doctor Experience

A less-experienced dentist may charge his or her patients a smaller fee for implants and restorations than a highly-skilled, more experienced one. Dr. Narcisi has been in private practice for over 30 years. He took over the practice when his father retired in 2004.

Number of Implants

The number of implants you need will affect the price of treatment, as will the type of restoration that is placed. Crowns, bridges, or dentures can be secured to implants; a single crown is the least expensive restoration option.

Extra Procedures

Sometimes, additional procedures like bone grafts, sinus lifts, and gum disease treatment must be performed so you can receive implants.  Medical insurance may or may not cover a portion of these procedures.

Geographic Location

Dental procedures may cost more in larger cities than in smaller towns. You can definitely shop around, but when it comes to your smile and oral health, always choose the most skilled, highly-regarded dentist in your area. Dr. Narcisi's practice is located about ten miles from Pittsburgh.

Implant Insurance Coverage and Costs  It Can Be Confusing

The knowledgeable staff at Dr. Narcisi's spa-like dental practice, located in Monroeville, PA, will work with your carrier to get you the best coverage possible. All costs will be discussed with you before treatment begins. Typically, dental insurance won't cover the cost of dental implants. However, your insurance provider may offer coverage for the crowns, bridges, or dentures that are attached to the implants.

I started going to Dr. Narcisi last year to correct years of dental problems I’ve had and have always had an intense fear of dentists. I immediately felt at ease from the receptionist to his assistant to Dr. Narcisi himself. Always gentle and keeping me in the loop on the course of action being taken. A little high price wise, but worth it just for the incredible people working there!

Tell Me about Dental Implants The Treatment Process

Implant Placement

A dental implant is an ultra-strong, titanium rod that is surgically anchored into a patient's jawbone where a tooth is missing or has been extracted.

Bone Growth

Your jawbone tissue grows around the implant over a few months of healing, securing it firmly in place. The implant now acts as a stable, long-lasting artificial tooth root

Attachment Procedure

After a few months of healing, an attachment called an abutment is firmly secured to the implant during a separate surgical procedure.

Prosthetic Tooth Placement

After another short healing period, Dr. Narcisi will permanently attach a customized, natural-looking prosthetic tooth to each implant's abutment, restoring your smile as well as important oral functions like chewing and speaking properly.
